NEW DELHI: Kashmiri Hindu migrants who have left their homes Kashmir and are camping here Saturday demanded that their monies, jewelry and property be transferred to the capital.
They also asked that employees of the state and federal governments be treated as if on transfer or be posted elsewhere.
Addressing a press conference, HN Jattu, president Kashmir migrants’ action committee, demanded a permanent rehabilitation in New Delhi.
He said the migrants would never go back to the Kashmir valley.
Jattu urged the government to evacuate the remaining 20,000 Hindus in far flung areas of the valley under army escort.
“They are being forced to convert to Islam,” Jattu said, adding that things would never again be normal in the valley.
“We are people with property, now rendered useless for us, for none can dare to sell it, none is ready to purchase it under the writ issued by the militants,”” he said.
He demanded immediate arrangements for admission children to educational and professional institutions in Delhi as special cases.
According to a Kashmiri leader of Hayward the Indian govt has told the Hindus to quickly move out so that the Muslims could be taught a lesson. It is expected that large scale repression is to be let loose soon.
