JAMMU (PTI): About 20,000 Kashmir militants were hiding in Azad Kashmir and most of them Were Undergoing training at camps established by Pakistan government under the direct supervision of field units of ISI, official sources said.
These sources, quoting reposts of captured militants said that at least 15000 militants including 1300 women militants hailing from Kashmir valley and some parts of Doda and Poonch districts ‘of Jammu region were receiving training at these camps.
These camps where they had fled to escape repression from Indian forces are located at Khuiratta, Shir, Koli, Nakial, Garhidupta, Dhirkot, Rawalkot, Aliabad, Kalamullah, Dalai and Tolipeer areas and are two to six kilometers from the Line of Control (LOC), There were about six women training camps in Azad Kashmir with its headquarters at Garhidupta near Muzaffarabad where these women were being trained to handle small weapons, explosives and how to motivate the youth and young women to go for subversive training, at Some localities in the Kashmir valley and Jammu region, the sources said.
