CHANDIGARH: T.N. Kapur, head of business management of department of Punjab University, has been made Vice Chancellor of Punjab University, Chandigarh, in place of Dr Bambah who left his post and has reportedly settled in U.S.A.
The appointment was notified by the university chancellor, Dr S.D.Sharma who is also vice president of India.
The Babbar Khalsa International, a leading militant organization, in a Statement few days ago had demanded a Sikh as the new V.C. of Punjab University, Chandigarh; evidently, the Central Government did not oblige the organization.
