LONDON, Reuter: India’s former Test Captain, Kapil Dev, has turned down five figure offers to join either Bishop Auckland or Oldham League clubs in the forthcoming English cricket season.
But the all-rounder’s English agent, Robert Sproston, said on Friday that Kapil was prepared to play part time if games could be fitted in with his commitments,
Sproston said: “His business commitments out in India, which involve the media and a number of factories, mean that he hasn’t the time to spend a full season over here”.
Kapil has played county cricket for Northamptonshire and WorcesterShire.
