KARACHI: All-rounder Kapil Dev became the first Indian bowler to bag 350 wickets in Test cricket at the National Stadium here.
Kapil Dev achieved this distinction when he had Miandad (78) caught by Azharuddin.
With this Kapil Dev becomes the fourth bowler in history to achieve this record, The other three who have already accomplished the feat are R.J. Hadlee (New Zealand) with 396 wickets, Ian Botham (England) with 376 wickets and DK. Lile (Australia) with 355 wickets.
Pakistan’s Imran Khan needs nine more wickets to reach the target of 350 wickets.
