MILFORD: Sardar Kanwaljit Singh Gandhi, s/o Sardarni and Sardar Sarup Singh Gandhi of Chelmsford, Mass, was married to Bibi Sarbjit Kaur d/o Sardarni and Sardar Mohinder Singh of Chandigarh Punjab on June 1, 1991. The marriage ceremony took place in the presence of a large number of the Sikh Community from New England, New York, New Jersey and Missouri. The Anand Karaj was performed by Bhai Swaran Singh Ji of the New England Sikh Study Circle, Milford, Mass. Gurdwara Dr. Manohar Singh Grewal blessed the newly-wed couple with the Gursikh way of life. Dr. Gurminder Singh Kohli recited the “Sehra.”
After the Anand Karaj, the guests were treated to a sumptuous luncheon which was followed by live entertainment. Besides the groom’s and bride’s parents, Sardarni and Sardar Jasbir Singh Gandhi and Sardar and Sardarni Mohinder Singh Gandhi, brothers of the groom were also felicitated
The newlyweds make their home in Chelmsford, Mass.
Sonia K. Sidhu shines again! Sonia K. Sidhu, daughter of LamberS Sidhu and Jasbir K Sidhu of Vancouver, B.C. niece of Hardeep S. Dosanjh and Surinder Dosanjh of Milpitas, was University Scholar from McGill University in Montreal. She graduated as Doctor of Medicine, Master of Surgery with Gold medal and the Hewlett-Packard Prize for Academic Excellence. She feels very proud to be a true Sikh student and has done extremely well in her field. Presently she is doing her residency at Royal Hospital in West minister, Vancouver, B.C.
