ISLAMABAD, Nov 28, Reuter: The Soviet backed Kabul government on Monday asked Pakistan to return the bodies of 30 people it says were killed when an Afghan plane was shot down nine days ago after it strayed into Pakistani air space.

The official Kabul radio said authorities in the Afghan Capital had asked Islamabad to allow an Afghan commercial aircraft to pick up the remains.

Kabul said Pakistan shot the plane down on November 19 killing all 30 on board after ignoring a distress call from the pilot who had lost his way.
