BOMBAY: Two veteran journalists Nikhil Chakravarty editor of Mainstream and Harendra Dave editor of Janmabhoomi and Pravasi were given the prestigious B DGoenka award for excellence in journalism in 1990 by former vice president M Hiddayutullah at a function held here.
The annual award is Rs 100000 in cash a bronze replica of the sun temple at Konark and a citation.
The B D Goenka award, instituted in 1983, is intended to recognize excellence in journalism and to perpetuate the memory of the man who exemplified it in his career,
