NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court today made known its anger over the manner which the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was handling the probe in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MPs bribery case. The court ordered that A.K. Sinha, the CBI Superintendent of Police should be reining ducted to lead the investigating team and the final report submitted by October 29. Si was taken off the team probing the case by the agency in a reshuffle of officials few days ago, Former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao is among the main accused in the case, Taking complete charge of the investigations, the Division Bench comprising Justices Y.K. Sabharwal and D.K. Jain ordered appointment of three CBI officials Vivek John (SP), Satish Chandra Srivastava (DIG) and A.K. Sinha as officers of the court in charge of the investigation and asked them to directly report to the court about the progress made therein.
Fixing October 17 for next hearing, the bench also directed the agency that “no one will interfere in the work of investigation of these officers who will have the liberty to approach the court for any direction or order if need so, arises.”
