NEW DELHI: Janata Dal leadership is planning to suspend Ajit Singh for his reported remarks at Lucknow demanding expulsion of “rascals” from the party. Crisis in the party has been brewing with Ajit Singh allegedly looking towards Congress (I) for support. It is stated that his father, the late Chaudhry Charan Singh, was also easily manipulated by the Congress (I) leadership and it was with his help that the present ruling party had caused a breakup of the Janata Dal government in 1979.
