NEW DELHI: (PTI) Japan gave “friendly ad vice” to India to “respect aspirations and search for identity” by its south Asian neighboring countries.
The assistant director general in Japanese foreign ministry, Seichiro Otsuka, told reporters here that Japan also wanted India to reduce its military spending and concentrate more on economic development.
He said he was giving this friendly but “can did” advice to India following the views ex pressed by Japanese ambassadors and diplo mats in the region during his two-day meeting with them here.
