When translated into English, it means that maintenance of a unique cultural identity is a necessary requirement for experiencing the psychological state of undying optimism or higher self-concept. When the Sikhs start following Brahmanism or Brahmanical system, he (Guru Gobind Singh) will be of no help (in Sikh cultural survival).

In order to survive as unique people, the Sikhs have to practice qualities of soldierliness against Brahmanism as an integral part of the “Sikh way of life” and this includes constant struggle on an ongoing basis against the restoration of Sanskrit and/or Sansknitised Hindi as the sacred and/or the only official language of India. Also, the Sikhs must renew their repudiation of the authentic of Vedas, professional priesthood and superiority of Brahmins in any shape or form whatsoever. The caste consciousness or “Brahmin’s Apartheid” has to be eliminated from the Sikh psyche and Sikh institutions as well as the elimination of ritual’ fasting and other celebrations of Brahmanical origin.

Thus, it may be said’ that: the Sikhs must protect their cultural identity from the cancerous influences of Brahmanism, if they want to preserve, update, and ‘share their culture with others and pass it on to future generations. By maintaining external identity, they can hope to experience “GCHARDHI KALA” or undying optimism which should enable them to work toward the welfare of everybody and to untiring service of humankind….. The mission of the Sikh way of life which all Sikhs reiterate in their daily supplication.

Like other people, the Sikhs have created organizations ranging from a small congregation (Sangat) to the World Sikh Organization to give practical shape to their mission of “Sarbat Da Bhala” or universal welfare and they must have some philosophical underpinning.
