NEW YORK, NY: S, Jagjit Singh Mangat, the President of Sikh Cultural Society, Richmond Hill and S. Harinder Singh Khalsa, the former Indian diplomat who resigned from the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) has withdrawn their names from the Council Khalistan.
They were appointed to the Council of Khalistan along with other prominent individuals outside India by the Panthic Committee in 1988. S. Jagjit Singh Mangat is a member of the Governing Council of the World Sikh Organization which is also dedicated to establishing Khalistan,
- Harinder Singh Khalsa had resigned from the IFS to priest Indian Army’s bloody assault on the Golden Tempie in June 1984 in which thousands of innocent Sikh pilgrims were killed.
Mangat and Khalsa ‘said they were withdrawing their names so as to offer further unity in the panth.
