JALANDHAR: A preliminary ballistic report of the five carbines found at the site of the Nakodar shootout in which five ITBP jawans were shot last week, has established that only ‘one weapon had been used in the shootout.
Disclosing this senior police officials said that this had eliminated the suspicion that a brawl could have led to the crime.
Meanwhile, the police parties, sent out by the Jalandhar district police in search of main suspected Constable Satbir Singh, have failed to make any headway. The police is interrogating the wireless operator Dayan and a peon of the Punjab National Bank at Nakodar where the incident took place.
