The government was alive to the situation and was taking all necessary steps including gearing up of Intelligence machinery coordinated action by central and state agencies and strengthening the deployment of para-military forces in sensitive areas he stated in a written reply in Lok Sabha.
Other measures included intensified patrolling construction of border fencing and flood-lighting in vulnerable stretches of Indo Pak border he added.
