New Delhi: The intermittent border clashes between Indian and Pakistani forces all along the extensive border in Kashmir are threatening to develop into major conflict. The crossfire, according to Press Trust of India, is continuing for the last many days and is on an unusually large scale. Pakistan authorities, however, have not given any indication of the clashes. There has also been no report of any casualty on either side.
Meanwhile Gulam UDin has resigned from G.M. Shah’s Cabinet and party and rejoined Farook Abdulla’s National Conference. This has created a serious crisis in Kashmir and is likely to lead to the fall of Congress (I) supported Shah Ministry.
