NEW DELHE: June 9: The three accused Atinder Pal Singh Prof Dalip Singh and Prof Jagmohan Singh Toni were produced in vest and underwear only before the court of Shri S.L. Khanna in the Tihar jail.
The three of the four accused of conspiracy in Indira murder case ‘were protesting against the ill treatment by the jail officials. While they were being brought to be produced in the court they tore their clothes and entered in vest and underwear in the courtroom. Pointing towards the Special Investigation team Chief S.P. Maocha Atinderpal said, “you are pushing us to gallows.”
All the three accused told the court that they are being kept in the cells meant for the prisoners
who are condemned to death. RN. Tufail and Shri Tiwai the defense attorney for Atinderpal told the court that Atinderpal Singh has not eaten since May 26 as the cigarette pieces are put in this meals, They have repeatedly brought this matter to the notice of concerned officials but to no avail.
Simranjit Singh Mann told the court that his complaints during last hearing has adversely affected the Doctor who came to examine his teeth has further loosened them. There is acute pain.
All the four accused denied the charges after the charge sheet was presented in the court, All of them also brought to the notice of court that all the documents provided to them are neither clear no legible. Therefore they are helpless to proceed with the proceedings until clear and legible documents are provided.
