NEW DELHI India’s formidable war machine was on view at an impressive parade here on the occasion of the country’s 41st republic day.
The parade also presented spectacle of cultural pageantry of India.
President R Venkataraman to ok the salute as the immaculate marching columns of the three wings (army, navy, air force) of the defense services passed by the saluting dais closely after the rumble and roar of the mechanized columns and the integrated combat team had faded in the distance.
Mauritius Prime Minister Anerood Jugnauth, was the chief guest.
