NEW DELHI: India has decided to ship 10,000 tons of once to Cuba as against that country’s demand of 1 lakh tons, The token supply by India is viewed as a gesture of defiance against the U.S.A. which is unhappy with Cuba. Several members of the Indian parliament recently had criticized the government for being soft towards the U.S.A. even after that country had banned dealings with India’s space organization. The rice supply is aimed at appeasing critics of India’s handling of the American affairs.
