RANGOON, Reuter: India’s minister for External Affairs Narain Dutt Tiwari arrived today on a four day official visit to Burma at the invitation of Foreign Minister U Ye Gaung, officials said

He would meet President U San Yu and sign a Maritime Boundary Demarcation Agreement with his Burmese counterpart, diplomatic sources said.

Diplomatic sources said the Indian Minister’s visit was in preparation for an official visit to Rangoon by Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi about the middle of next month, but neither Burmese officials nor the Indian Embassy would confirm this.
