Dear Editor, I fully endorse views of Maj Kirpal Singh Deol, regarding the selection of Chief of the Indian Army, the Fourth biggest army in the world. By virtue of merit come seniority, set criteria and previous precedents the post should have gone to Commander Lt General ‘Surender Singh commanding a most sensitive and difficult operational command in the second story in your esteemed paper, Col Jagdev Singh had to seek justice through court after 10 years of hardship, Slocan of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan given by later Lal Bhadur Shastri the then Prime Minister of India seems to have been forgotten by present masters.
