KOBE, Japan, Dec. 10, Reuter: An Indian Textile manufacturer in Japan was sentenced to 22 months in jail and fined eight million yen (60,000 dollars) on Thursday after being found guilty of illegally exporting to the United States.
A court in Kobe was told Manjit Singh Thakral, 29, a resident of Osaka, had sent L.8pbillion yen (13 million dollars) worth of synthetic textiles to the US through Colombia without having export quotas for the goods.
