LOS ANGELES: The 12th Guru Nanak Field Hockey Tournament was held here in North Ridge University grounds from 7th July to 8th July 90.
A total of nine teams participated in the tournament. Teams came from India, Yuba City, San Jose, Long Beach and Los Angeles. The six teams in competition League were:
Rajput Sports Club Delhi (India), L.A. Tigers Sports Club, Yuba City, San Jose, Azad from Los Angeles and Black Hawks Los Angeles.
Three teams in the social competition were Huntington Beach club, Wanders Bros, L.A. Simba
In the competition league Rajput Sports Club, Delhi (India) and L.A. Tiger Sports Club played the final. Rajput Sports Club won the competition by 41 in extra time. Regular time both teams were tied 11. In extra time Sukhdev Singh scored two goals through penalty comer. Fourth goal was scored by center forward Ray Rumar. Black Hawks finished 3rd in competition.
In social competition L.A. Simba, Wanders Bros and Hutington Beach finished, 1ST, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
