NEW DELHI (PTI): The Indian Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao Sunday had a telephonic talk with the PLO chairman Yasser Arafat who is now in Tunis and expressed his happiness over the PLO leader’s providential escape in the plane accident last week and conveyed good wishes on behalf of himself and the people on India.

Arafat briefed Rao on the current situation in the middle east and also conveyed his greetings to him as president of the ruling congress (I) party on the eve of its plenary session commencing at Tirupati in the state of Andhra Pradesh from April 14.
