NEW DELHI: India’s envoy to the U.S.A., Abid Hussain, has been given a short extension. He was due to retire later this month. India’s ambassador in Tokyo A.C. Asrani, too, has been given extension because Prime Minister Rao is visiting Japan next month. New Delhi has also decided, according to reports, to replace India’s high commissioner in London, Dr. L.M. Singhvi, who was a Chander Shekhar appointee.
