NEW DELHI Reuter: Enraged survivors of a bus fire that killed four people attacked police station to protest against the slowness of firefighters and only stopped when police blasted them with tear gas and charged them with truncheons Four people were burned alive and 16 injured when the engine of the overcrowded bus overheated and the vehicle caught fire with more than 70 people on board the Press Trust of India reported.

The News Agency said six policemen including a superintendent were injured when the survivors angered by delays in the arrival of firemen stoned their police station in Southern Karnataka State.
