NEW DELHI: Indian authorities are trying to sabotage the release of Romanian envoy Liviu Radu now in the custody of Punjab’s Sikh militants Every now and then the Indian authorities make statements teasing the militants that their initial demand for the release of Bhai Harjinder Singh, Bhai Sukhdev Singh and Bhai Nirmal Singh has been frustrated and that the militants are now likely to set free the Romanian envoy. Indian officers seem to be aware of the delicate talks between the U.K. chapters of Punjab human Right and Organization and the Romanian government. The Sikh militants main thrust is on the release of all Sikhs held by Romanian govt and the expulsion of Indian ambassador Ribeiro from that country that the militants describe as a “war criminal”.

Unhappy with these developments, India appears bent on sabotaging the talks and creating conditions in which the militants kill the Romanian envoy. That, according to Sikh circles here, explains India’s frequent intervention in the matter and publicity through the captive media about the behind these scenes developments in London.
