FAISLABAD: India in their second innings batted through the fifth and last day to score 398 for 7, forcing a draw in the second Test Match.
Facing a deficit of 135 runs in the first innings, it was dejavu for the Indians, who earlier faced the same scenario in the First Test at Karachi.
However to the credit of Indian team, it made amends in its second innings and frustrated once again the Pak’s hope of victory.

Sixteen year old prodigy Tendulkar and Manjrekar blunted the Pak attack and punished Pak bowlers and added 143 off 26 overs.
Indian batsmen folded out when Pak claimed the second new ball in 86th over.
From 244 for 4 at one time, Indians were all out at 288 Pakistan 1st innings 423
Pakistan got off to a solid start. Openers Aamir Malik and Rameez Raja scored ‘unbeaten 82 at the end of the second day.
Pakistan added 256 runs to the overnight score of 82 while losing 6 wickets on the third day,
On the fourth daya fine rearguard action by debutant Nazdim Abbasi helped Pakis tan consolidate the initiative,

In India’s second innings Nayjot Sidhu (51), Azharuddin (48 batting) and Manjrekar (43 batting) stayed the collapse of Indian batting on the fourth day and were 164 for2 when the stumps were drawn.
There were anxious moments for India on the fifth day when Tendulkar was run out.
But Kapil and Manoj Prabhakar in par ticular saved the day and match for India. Prabhakar also claimed 5 wickets.
