NEW DELHLI: For the first time, a government has virtually supported the Kashmir and Sikh liberation movements. Afghan President Prof Burhanuddin Rabbani told media persons at Rawalpindi on May 23 that support for liberation movements did not amount to an act of terrorism.

He was referring to the Kashmir people’s movement for liberation and by implication, also the Sikhs movement. “Such movements are the right of the people everywhere for self-determination. Supporting liberation movements does not mean supporting terrorism.
