CHANDIGARH: India’s minister of state for food supply Gogoi told newsmen here that the government was hopeful of achieving 55 lakh tons wheat procurement target from Punjab this year. He said the process of procurement had suffered a setback as a result of strike by farmers in the first week of May but the procurement later licked up to give hope to Delhi.
