BANGALORE(PTI): Federal home minister S.B.Chavan recently said the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) was creating panic in India by repeating the U.S. state department’s warming on the possibility of militant attacks in New Delhi after the devastating bomb blasts in Bombay on March 12 last.
I don’t know why the BBC is taking the story on an hourly basis,’ Chavan said replying to re porters’ questions during his private visit to this city.
“The BBC is creating panic for nothing, if you have anything to say please passion secretly, don’t create panic by broadcasting it,” he told the BBC and said repetition of the story might give clues to those who were indulging in militant activities.
The home minister said the Indian government had requested the BBC to stop this propaganda.
