CHANDIGARH: India’s minister of state for home, M M Jacob said Friday reports of involvement of the inter-services intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan in “some unpleasant militant acts in India” had led to a “dangerous situation”.

Carrying on in the same propagandist vein he said “reports also indicate that the ISI is slipping out of the hands of the Pakistan government. It is not clear whether the Pakistan government is under, the ISI is under the Pakistan government,” he said at a press conference here after visiting border Outposts at Ferozepur.

Jacob, who is on a two-day visit to the state, said Pakistan, did not appreciate “our good gestures” despite efforts by India to normalize with that country.
