MADRAS India: India and Australia recorded only the second tie in Test Cricket history.
They tied the first test in a three match series when India was all out for 347 in their second innings in the final session on the last day.
Both sides totalled 744 in the match Australia making 574 for seven declared and 170 for five declared and India 397 and 347.
Australia was also involved in. the only other tied test against the West Indies in Brisbane in December 1960 In that match 737 runs were scored by each side the totals ending level when Australia was all out for 232 in their second innings.
