YUBA CITY: Inderjit Singh Kallirai son of S. Gurmeet Singh and Mrs. Mohinder Kaur was married to Santosh Kaur daughter of S. Major Singh Punia and Mrs. Rachhpal Kaur at of “famous fashion center” Guru Nanak temple. Bouge Road Yuba City on June 3, 1989. The bridge groom and his family came from Derby (England) for the ceremony. Kallirai’s are closely related to S. Amrik singh Bains (father in law of S. Balbir Singh Ragi and S. Harbhajhan Singh Gill) who made all the arrangements on behalf of the groom’s family. They miprated to United States from village Nagre District Jalandhar in the early fifties.
later a reception was held the same evening in the fairground Hall Yuba City. The famous Sangeet cultural group provided melodious music and rich Punjabi songs.
