The Diwan was organized at a high scale to observe the martyrdom day of Sri guru Teg Bahadur ji who gave the supreme sacrifice of his life to save the Hindu religion in 1675.

Giving special thanks to the student’s parent’s guardian teachers and the principal Tarsem Singh HIGHLY appreciated the progress made by the school. He made a special reference to Gian Singh Kohli who was per forming the duties of a permanent priest in the Gurdwara and making extensive efforts to preach Sikhism among other communities and also rendering and creative service to the Punjabi School   Principal. The admission of students has reached 925 and if this rapid increase went on them we will have to face accommodation problem said Tarsen Singh Dhaliwal. Speaking on the occasion Principal Gian Singh Kohli reiterated that the Sikh tenets of Oneness of God oneness of human race love equality truthful living. justice honest labor and service to mankind are so broad based and universal that they can make our children to grow up as the most valuable and respectful members of the community wherever they live in the world Therefore the dire need of times is that the parents must wake to the occasion and send their children 10 Punjabi schools wherever they are It was really very fascinating to see the young students presenting speeches Kirtan Tabla etc to the great appreciation of their parents And Gaganjot Kaur Khalsa conducted the stage very confidently on skillfully Principal Gian Singh Kotlli Khalsa Diwan Society Vancouver Canada.
