October 2 The first general meeting of elected members of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee under the Gurdwara Act A.D. 1925, was held to elect its office bearers. It also approved its name to be Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee through a resolution adopted unanimously in A.S. 1926. October 6 (a) Guru Har Rai’s immersion in Eternal Light (1661) (b) Gurgaddi Day Sri Guru Har Krishan Ji (A.D. 1661) October 7 Guru Gobind Singh left for his heavenly abode (A.D. 1708).
