Editor Note: This letter and article were written by two young Muslim men in Pakistan. Their seniority and courage is to be admired.
To the best of our knowledge the beginning of the freedom movement, namely Khalistan, of the Sikh nation is based on the Holy sermon of the Tenth Gum Sin Guru Gobind Singh Sahib.
“When an affair is past every other remedy it is righteous indeed to unsheathe sword.”
From the day of partition of the subcontinent the Hindus were doing injustices to the Sikhs. Indira Gandhi went on following the foot marks of her father, Nehru, and kept alive the cynical attitude towards Sikhs that her father had. The promises made to the Sikhs prior to the partition, were not kept, there up on, Sant Bhindranwale unsheathed the sword. Indira Gandhi might have forgotten that it is not wise to wake up a Sleeping lion.
The leaders like Sant Bhindranwale are seldom born. The luckiest nation is blessed with such a great leader. Alexander Pope said of Sir Isaac Newton, “Nature and nature’s laws never hide in night.
God said, Let Newton is, and all was light.
Nehru, the notorious leader, had followed the footprints of his spiritual father Mahatma Gandhi who had had teachings acquired from “Manu Samiti.” Indira and Rajiv modernized the doctrine of Nehru and ruled India hypocritically, thus the Nehru family became the life and soul of the Congress and repeatedly resumed power in Delhi. This family seemed always have the doctrine in their minds that a, ‘Ruler should have only one aim before him and that is the maintenance and increase of his power.”
When a nation forgets (intentionally) her promises and brothers not to recall what she has pledged to do, how can the suppressed people expect from her that she respects their feelings. Indian constitution was adopted incompletely, and was lame in many aspects. It had bad cracks that were pointed out and objected to by the Sikh representatives at its pre adoption stage, but ignoring its being handicapped. And the time came when the world saw it falling down. There is a saying, quote worthy.
“The mills of God grind slowly. But they grind exceeding small.”
J.S.Macknezie says, “A house which is divided against itself can’t stand.” He further says, “Similarly even the law of a nation, if it is a real law, can’t be violated.”
Sikhs, Muslims, untouchables, and other minorities in India have not spent a day free of anxiety, fear, worry or mourning. Hoping for justice or equal rights from Delhi Darbar is like looking for a needle in a hay stack.
In 1984 Indira Gandhi ordered the attack on Siri Darbar Sahib. This cruel and barbaric military operation, code name “Blue Star’ was against the innocent Sikh pilgrims. It was a long horrified story of atrocities, rape, killings, lootings, and sacrilege to the holiest shrines committed by Indian forces. A Latin saying:” “Whom God wishes to destroy He first makes mad.” (Insane).
Meanwhile, as we were writing these lines we heard the very sorrowful news that the 16th Babari Mosque has been demolished and desecrated at the hands of Hindu fanatics. We think this tragic incident has put a greater burden of responsibility on the shoulders of the Sikh and Muslim freedom fighters. They have to adopt a joint strategy to give India a final blow in the battle field as well as on the diplomatic and political fronts.
No doubt Sikhs and Muslims stand at a perilous crossroads because they are threatened with destruction at the hands of the Indian government It is a very crucial time for both nations, Sikh and Kashmiris, because attention of the whole world is now focused on Ayodhya and chances of increases in fake encounters, extortion, endangering the sanctity of women and other violations of human rights can’t be mulled out. We therefore have to suggest the leaders of both the freedom movements to rely for victory on the best pieces of advice, strategy, and technique and never set aside the teachings of your religion, ideology of your leaders and future political scenario.
We want to convey an important message to Sikhs and Kashmiris Separately and that is Forget about the mutual differences, and adopt a joint strategy to defeat your enemy and very soon you will achieve your goal. You should be careful about the security of your leaders because at this stage any loss can be dangerous.
We feel badly that by now the Sikhs have not produced a single book on the great Sant Bhindranwale’s life. We want to pay tribute to the great leader of the Sikh nation, Sant Bhindranwale by quoung this saying of Milton:
“Lives of great men all remind us We can make our hives sublime And departing leave behind us footprints on the sands of time footprints that perhaps another Sailing or life solemn main A forlorn and shipwrecked brother Seeing shall take heart again.” God bless you.
