VANCOUVER: Vancouver and Surry SubUnitsof1S.Y.F.Canada recently held a banquet at Kohinoor restaurant in which many government officials attended and were very sympathetic to the Sikh Struggle for freedom. One behalf of the Panthak Committee spoke Dr. Amarjit Singh Khalsa who is the official spokesman of the Panthak Committee and director of Khalistan Affairs Center in the U.S.A. and on behalf of LS.” spoke Ranjit Singh Dosanjh. The stage was handled by Bhai Harjit Singh,
Amongst the special guests and speakers were MP Jim Kirpoff MLA Joan Smallwood, MLA Penny Friddy, MLA Sue Hamme ll, MLA NORM Lortie, Alderman Judy Velinye, Alderman burce Ralsion, lawyer Clayton Campbell, Mayer Bob Bose and on behalf of the Muslim community were Mr Reast Ali Khan and Liagat Ali Bajwa (ex-President of the Pakistan Canada Association.
The main topic discussed at this banquet was the denial of Human rights in India against all minority groups. India has been trying to portray the Sikhs as terrorists but all this banquet Indias true colors Khalsa did a tremendous job is convincing the elected government officials in who are the terrorists and who are the freedom fighters. Every guest speaker spoke with the utmost sympathy and left that evening with a different image of the Sikh community.
“Meanwhile on Saturday, February 22 at a fundraiser for Harry Lalli, Harjit Singh Athwal on behalf of S .Y.F. presented Harry Lalli A cheque for 1,000.00 dollar’s and told him how proud the Sikh community is of him.
AT this fundraiser at Beer creek community balls in surrey the we many dignitaries present. The Honorable premier of B.C. Mr Mike Harcourt M LA PENNY Priddy, MLA Ujjal Dosanjh and MP Jim Kirpoth addressed the mammoth gathering which was attended by many representatives of various Sikh organizations and taxi companies.
I.S.Y-F feels very proud of Harry Lalli he is very touching were he thanked the almighty god for All his success. He expressed God is responsible for everything and without his blessings would have BEEN able to achieve nothing
