LUDHIANA: The residents of Dhandari Kalan village near here blocked traffic on Ludhiana Ambala National highway. They were protesting the sudden disappearance of two young girls of the village.
The road traffic was restored after two and a half hours when both the girls returned to their homes. The father of one of the girls said the suspicion on Home Guards turned out to be false since the girls said they had gone to their maternal uncle’s place near Ahmedgarh as they were upset because their class teacher had rebuked them The girls were brought back by their uncle.
