JAMSHEDPUR(PTI): A grue some case of human sacrifice has once again come to light with the killing ofa fouryearold girl, Tunu Murmu by a prosperous farmer to propitiate a tribal goddess at Indurmati village near here on Aug.6The police said here Sun day that the farmer, Bhutnath Mahato has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody for further questioning.
According to the father of the victim, Modi Murmu and other villagers, Tunu was bathed in a pond and then killed by piercing arrows. The villagers said that Bhutnath and his family members sacrificed the girl to ward off evil spirits.
