SRINAGAR: Police and paramilitary forces on Dec.10 forced a delegation of the Kashmir Bar Association to tum back before it could submit 4 memorandums to the representatives of the United Nations military observers’ group posted in Kashmir.

The memorandum highlighted alleged human rights violations by the security forces in the valley. The lawyers’ procession was taken out from the high court complex in connection with the World Human Rights Day on Friday.

Carrying placards and banners the procession reached polo view ‘on way to the UN military observers’ group office at Drugian, where security men stopped them and asked them to return, this was stated by BSF Director General Prakash Singh on Thursday to newspersons while returning from Kashmir after a two day visit to the valley.
