CHANDIGARH, India: The President of Punjab Human Rights Committee, Justice Ajit Singh Bains has released the list of those persons who were arrested and handcuffed in full public view and later executed or killed in fake encounters. He has sent the detailed report of his findings to the national Human Rights organization and Amnesty International. Mr. Bains said that he had a conclusive evidence that these persons, whose names he released to the press, were caught from their homes by the police in the presence of all the villagers and later killed in so called encounters.
He also declared that 24 more people were arrested in similar circumstances but their where about have been kept as secret.
He alleged that either these persons have been killed by the paramilitary forces or they are being torchered at some hideouts of the police. Justice Bains declared that such like tactics will not bring the Sikh community to submission. On the contrary, Sikhs will be compelled to undertake the path of independence.
Mr. Bains mentioned the names of those martyrs as Gurdev Singh Chattanwala, Nirmal Singh, Kuldip Singh Raoke, Balbir Singh Moga, Jaswant Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Muktsar, Bhupinder Singh, Mattewal, Amnk Singh Sattaur and Sukhwinder Singh Lohara.
