AMBALA: The Ambala police, on Jan.14th, arrested Kulbir Singh, resident of Khaspur village under the Naggal police station who was to act as a human bomb to kill the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhajan Lal. According to the Superintendent of Police, Mr.B.S. Sandhu, Jagat Singh Hawara and Balwant Singh, the two key men in the assassination of Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, admitted during interrogation that they had trained Kulbir Singh and provided him with enough quantities of RDX for the purpose.
Mr. Sandhu said six kilograms of the explosive material was recovered from Kulbir Singh Sunday. Mr. Sandhu further said that another man, Purshottam Singh alias Pamma, had introduced Kulbir Singh to Hawara and Balwant Singh.
