Dear Editor,
Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fatel It is with pleasure that I convey my sincerest greetings and congratulations to the Sikh people on the auspicious birth day anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji held on January 7th last. Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth master, gave the Sikhs their identity, with the five K’s and created the Khalsa. He defended the weak and taught the world to believe in only one God, live an honest life and to share one’s blessings with the less fortunate. He was a great saint but an unbowing soldier who accepted the loss of his father, mother and four sons in battles against the oppressive regime.
In Canada we have much to learn from Guru Gobind Singh’s teachings on equality, universal brotherhood, justice and freedom for all mankind.
