CHANDIGARH: A 16 member Indian women’s hockey team, comprising mostly junior players, will visit Hungary from September 16 under a cultural exchange programme, Mrs. Nirmal Milkha Singh, Honorary Secretary, Indian Women Hockey Federation, said here today.
She said the visit had been cleared by the Union Government. K. Atma Ram, a Vice President of the IWHF, would accompany the team as manager, while Satinder Walia would be coach.
The team would be selected on the basis of the performance of the players taking part in the Trivandrum Junior Girls Hockey Championship.
The team will attend a brief coaching camp in Delhi before flying to Hungary,
