JAMMU: An ending stream of Hindus are pouring into this and neighboring towns as the violence in Kashmir valley escalates. They are coming by any mode of transport available buses, trucks and even motor scooters, some have brought a few belongings others have fled just with their lives gripped by fear.

An estimated 11,000 families have registered as displaced and homeless so far.

They are being provided food and blankets by the Govt which has belatedly woken up to the gravity of the situation in Kashmir. A number of Govt buildings have been made available for these migrants. These measures however will be just a drop in the overall requirements.
