NEW DELHI: India and the United States will hold high-level talks next week on a wide-range of bilateral and international matters, notably nuclear non-proliferation, in the backdrop of improving ties between them.

Indian foreign secretary, J.N. Dixit, will have talks with the state department, white house officials, the pentagon and members of congress from March 8 to 10, Dixit will be the first high-ranking Indian officials to visit the U.S. after Pakistan’s admission that it had acquired the nuclear weapons capability.
