NEW YORK: The hearing in the extradition proceedings against AISSF leaders, Ranjit Singh Gill and Sukhwinder Singh Sandhu was adjourned to November 2, 1987 by the trial judge, Mr. Hedge. The hearing was scheduled for August24, 1987. The defence attorney, Mary Pike had earlier sought the adjournment to enable her to prepare the case, The Adjournment was initially decline on the ground that no formal application was moved to that left she, then, filed a Writ of Mandamus and Habeas corpus with the District Magistrate who referred the application back to the judge.
