NEW DELHI: Important world leaders who visited Delhi recently shied away from meeting BP. leaders following destruction of Babri masjid at Ayodhya. The German chancellor Helmut Kohl who is coming here later this week has sought no meeting with BJ.P. leader L.K.Advani, About two years ago when German president Richard yon Weizsacker visited this country he had met Advani. Two other leaders, British Prime Minister John Major and Russian president Boris Yeltsin who ‘were last month also made it a point not to meet the leader of the opposition in India’s parliament. It is customary for western leaders visiting countries like India to meet leaders of opposition to cope with subsequent political changes.
