VA: In a press release from Virgina’s Guru Nanak Foundation the management committee stated that there was no Official authorization for the Gurdwaras name appearing in brochure listing those individuals and organizations who were welcoming the Indian prime minister.
In a story published in the May 15 issue of the Sunday Tribune (Chandigarh the writer mentions the casing of tensions and the fact that many Sikhs attended a Vaisaki Celebration hosted by the Embassy. Members of the gurdwara also deny the implication that there was any official sanction of this event
